FOOTBALL
10 :51|Manchester United have no fresh injuries following their two matches against Chelsea over the past week as they head into tomorrow's Premier League clash with Arsenal.
Defender Chris Smalling continues to make good progress in training in his recovery from a broken metatarsal, but the game at Old Trafford will come too soon.
Fellow centre-back Phil Jones (knee) is also not quite ready, while another defender, Nemanja Vidic (knee), and midfielder Shinji Kagawa (knee) remain sidelined. Striker Robin van Persie is set to face his old club.
10:49|Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey, who now plays in Australia for Newcastle Jets, calls on authorities to do more to combat racism.
He tells BBC World Service: "It can't just keep happening, at some stage you've got to try and put some force on federations to try and stamp it out because if you keep fining people what does it really matter - maybe dock 10 points and they would make some action."

FOOTBALL
10:43|Manager Arsene Wenger tells Arsenal supporters not to abuse Robin van Persie when the striker plays against his old club on Saturday.
It will be the first time the Dutchman, 29, has played against Arsenal since a £24m summer move to Manchester United.
"I hope it [reception] is a respectful one because he did very well for us [for eight years]," said Wenger. "We campaign against discrimination, it was still the case last week so why should it not be the case this week?"

The Avenue had two men sent off in an 8-1 defeat by AFC Totton and manager John Deacey tells BBC Radio Leeds: "It didn't happen on the day last year but it was just one of those things.
"We've kept most of the squad from last season and we're hopeful of giving a good account of ourselves this time around."

BBC Monitoring reports: Former Chelsea player Didier Drogba could not believe it when he heard he had been voted by 20,000 Chelsea fans as their club's greatest ever player.
He said: "So many great players have made contributions to Chelsea. When I first joined this club, I could see how much fans loved them. To be honoured with all these great players, it's definitely my privilege."

FORMULA 1
10:13| Grosjean sees no reason why he will not be partnering Kimi Raikkonen for a second season at Lotus next year.
Earlier this week Lotus confirmed Raikkonen had signed a new one-year deal, but they made no mention of French driver Grosjean, perhaps unsurprising given the errors he has made this year and penalties incurred.
However, Grosjean, 26, is confident of his seat for 2013, saying: "With the team we're happy together, they've put a lot of confidence and faith in me during a hard time. I'm showing them I'm working and improving and trying to sort out all the problems, whilst keeping my speed. But there is no reason that it goes bad for the future."

Mark Cavendish claims broken promises ahead of this year's Tour de France forced him to quit Team Sky.
09:58|The 27-year-old said he was left feeling like a "back-up rider" as Bradley Wiggins went on to claim a historic yellow-jersey success. Cavendish, who moved to Omega Pharma-Quickstep last month, believes he could also have captured the sprinters' green jersey and fulfil an ambition he thought Sky had held when he signed.
"We didn't achieve what I thought we were setting out to achieve at the start of the season," he told The Daily Telegraph. "Sky should have taken both jerseys. We could have done that without any risk or detriment to the yellow jersey. It's frustrating."

Long-term absentees Scott Parker (Achilles), Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) remain sidelined.

FOOTBALL
09:17|Arsenal head to Manchester United tomorrow reporting no fresh injury worries from their thrilling midweek Capital One Cup win at Reading.
England midfielder Jack Wilshere and full-back Bacary Sagna are both likely to be in contention, but forward Theo Walcott may be back on the bench after playing all 120 minutes at the Madejski Stadium.
Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (hip) faces a fitness test, but winger Gervinho (ankle) will be out for around three weeks, while defender Kieran Gibbs (thigh), first-choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny (ankle), midfielder Abou Diaby (thigh) and Czech winger Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) all continue their rehabilitation.

FOOTBALL
08:56|Darren Bent believes he could form a prolific partnership with in-form Christian Benteke as the striker braces himself for another substitute role for Aston Villa against his former side Sunderland tomorrow, reports the Birmingham Mail.
Bent has looked on as Benteke has grabbed the glory with three goals in two games, including his strike in the draw against Norwich and a match-winning double at Swindon.
"Yes, of course [I could play alongside Benteke]. He's a big target man. I haven't played with a target man for some time now - the last one was probably Emile Heskey," says Bent.
